Loving Vincent
Film Screening
In parallel to our new exhibition Post-Impressionism: Beyond Appearances, join us for a special open-air screening of the film Loving Vincent. As one of the world’s most famous artists, Van Gogh stands in a lane of his own.
This film is the world’s first fully painted feature, written and directed by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman. Expect to see Van Gogh’s paintings animated on the big screen to tell the highs and lows of his remarkable life. Every frame of the film was hand painted by 125 professional painters who travelled from across the world to bring his story to life.
